Hi, I have just purchased a Canon 750D (my first beginner step to SLR world) and maybe I am asking a stupid question but I have this weird problem. Whatever you do, do NOT format the card or delete files from it until you are certain that you have located your photos and copied them safely off the card. Directory and file names in the standard DCIM arrangement are not exactly user-friendly, so you may have to open / preview all of the files to sort out the 750D photos from the G1X ones. The 750D photos are present but are in the same directories as the G1X one.

If this is the case, you might still be able to see the 750D photos in Windows Explorer or the Mac OS X Finder.Ģ. It is getting confused by the presence of the G1X photos and so is not even looking for the 750D photos. You are using some photo application to view the contents of the card. So where are the files to copy from card?Ī couple of possibilities (for what they're worth):ġ. The card is almost full and I can view the images taken in the camera preview mode.

I couldn't locate the folder with the new files. I removed the card and inserted it in my laptop card reader and there were no images or folders, except the older image folders from previous Canon G1X and a folder called EOSmisc in the main DCIM folder. After 1 day of usage, I went to copy the files from the memory card to laptop.
